Taipei No-Time-Limit Cafés|Work & Study Spots That Won't Rush You Out (With Map)
My company runs a hybrid setup these days, so now and then I want to leave the house and work somewhere different for a change of scene. Maybe it's feeling the people around me grinding too, but it actually makes me more productive — and I get to reward myself with a little dessert along the way.
The catch I keep running into is the time limit. No outlet? I can fall back on a power bank. No Wi-Fi? I can tether off my phone. But a time limit is just brutal — there's no working around it.
So I pulled together a few Threads posts from the community, filtered them hard, and what's left is: weekday + no time limit — a.k.a. cafés that absolutely will not rush you out. (Rules can change at any time, so please double-check each shop's latest info before heading out.)
As for outlets / Wi-Fi / noise level / cats / whether talking is allowed / whether it's packed the moment the doors open — I haven't found the perfect answer to all of that yet. I'm hoping we can keep this list alive together, so that in the middle of a busy work life we can still find a little pocket of calm.
Many thanks again to the Threads community for sharing: original post 1, original post 2, original post 3

Taipei Weekday No-Time-Limit Cafés|Good for Working, Studying, Long Stays
Most of these places keep it simple: a one-drink minimum, no time limit, and not many other rules. A few have their own house rules, though, so it's worth a quick check before you go.
Co-Working-Style Cafés|They Handle Everything for You
These basically sell the third-space concept outright, and usually come with their own set of space rules — overtime fees, room packages, that kind of thing.
- The Singularity Co-Working Cafe 齊文藝室 (Taipei Main Station)
- CollaPlay 可能存在的遊樂園 (Ximen)
- Sky Cofi (Nanjing Fuxing)
- CE' & LIB-RARY (Nanjing Fuxing)
I think the environment in this category is great — outlets, Wi-Fi, and seating are all well suited to working, and some even have a private little meeting space, which is very friendly for anyone on a laptop for hours. It pretty much solves most of a remote worker's pain points — though the trade-off is that a single visit usually costs a bit more.
I've personally been to The Singularity, CollaPlay, and Sky Cofi. I'd especially recommend CollaPlay — they often run fun events, particularly Coworking Wednesday. You can swap ideas with other people on your break, and I find it a great place to broaden your horizons and meet people working in all kinds of fields.
Library-Style Cafés|Top-Tier Quiet
Some cafés are stricter about noise and ask everyone to keep their voices down. This type is perfect for work that needs deep focus — basically just white noise and soft music.
- OLO Coffee 黑露 (Zhongshan)
- 寶山 (Zhongshan)
- Nido 巢 (Taipei City Hall)
You might get tempted by the smell of food now and then, but after a good sprint, quietly enjoying a coffee and a snack is a lovely way to go too.
Late-Night Cafés|For Overtime Heroes Who Won't Quit
Sometimes something urgent comes up, or you just want to make tomorrow-you a little more relaxed, and before you know it you're working overtime. A lot of these cafés stay open until midnight, so even when you hit your flow state you won't get kicked out.
- 翌日咖啡店 (Dongmen)
- 北風社 (Zhongshan)
- Halfway Cafe 半路咖啡 (Taipower Building)
- Cafe Macho 早秋咖啡 (Guting)
- Old Major Coffee (Nanjing Fuxing)
- YCDG 瑤池墮宮 (Zhongshan Elementary School)
That said — please clock off early and leave it for tomorrow, okay? QAQ
My Top 3 Picks From This List
Going through all of these genuinely gave me a long list of places I want to explore. These three are already on my must-visit list.
1. Arthere Café 上樓看看咖啡 (Taipei City Hall)
I've seen Arthere in Taipei City Hall pop up in plenty of other YouTubers' videos, but I still haven't actually been. I tend to like heading to a café around 11, having lunch there, then working straight through until just before dinner — so if a café serves a decent lunch, that's a big plus for me.
Arthere's menu leans Western, with everything from salads, breakfast plates, and sandwiches to omelets, pasta, and risotto. The natural light looks great too; sitting by the window, it feels like you could catch a view and steal a little sunshine. It reminds me of another well-lit favorite, All Day Roasting Company. I'll probably find a chance to go check it out this month.
2. Rebirth Coffee 瑞帛咖啡 (Songshan)
I've walked past Rebirth near Songshan station four or five times now, but every time I arrive too late and it's already full. Their smoked salmon and avocado open sandwich looks amazing — when I don't want a heavy lunch, that's exactly the kind of thing I love to order. I'm hoping that once the weather warms up I can stop getting glued to my blanket, get up early, and make a run for it.
3. 2730 café 貳柒參零咖啡 (Xinyi Anhe)
2730 in Xinyi Anhe is a case of love-at-first-sight-too-late. It has cats, it's in an old house, and it has no time limit — I mean, how could it lose? Looking at the photos of the space, it feels like it could whisk you away from the noise of the city in an instant and let you truly settle down.
A Final Word
I hope this list gives you a few new ideas. Sometimes you just want to get out of the house, go somewhere other than a chain café, breathe some different air — while still feeling safe in the knowledge that no one's going to rush you out. I really hope places this good can stick around. I often order a little food on top of my drink to support the shops (and to treat myself).
If you have your own secret no-time-limit café, I'd love for you to share it too — so that more remote workers, and anyone out there grinding through life, can find a comfortable corner to settle into for the whole day.
This article mainly compiles recommendations from the Threads community and personal favorites. For actual hours, time-limit rules, minimum spend, and outlet availability, please refer to each shop's latest announcements.
Frequently asked questions
What is a "no-time-limit café"?
A café that doesn't cap how long you can stay on weekdays — you won't be asked to leave — usually with a one-drink minimum. They're ideal for anyone who needs to work, study, or do a long remote-work session. Rules can change anytime, so it's worth confirming the latest policy before you go.
Which Taipei neighborhoods have the most no-time-limit cafés?
Based on this list, Zhongshan, Nanjing Fuxing, Xinyi Anhe, and Dongmen are the densest. Co-working-style spaces cluster around Taipei Main Station, Ximen, and Nanjing Fuxing; library-quiet cafés around Zhongshan; and late-night cafés are scattered across Dongmen, Guting, and Taipower Building.
How do I pick a café with outlets, Wi-Fi, and comfortable long-stay seating?
Go for a "co-working-style" café (like The Singularity, CollaPlay, or Sky Cofi). They sell the third-space concept directly, so outlets, Wi-Fi, and seating are all designed for long laptop sessions — some even have private meeting rooms — though the per-visit spend tends to be higher.
